Remembering
Looking up towards heaven
my final destination
thinking back on my life
remembering all the good times
all the bad times
all the friends
who came and went
all the women
who pretended to love me
my trials and tribulations
my ups
and downs
I remember it all
my first love
my first kiss
my first time
Damn, I have a
good memory even
at a time like this
I shouldn't be able
to remember things like this but I am
remembering all of these
things like they were
happening all at once
my mind shouldn't be on these memories
they should be on more important things
like trying to get out
of this situation
feeling cold
body shutting down
I was at the wrong place
at the wrong time
O'God please help me
I know that I don't
talk to you as much as I should
but if you get me out
of this one I promise
I will but if
you say my time is up
just make sure my family is
ok that's all I ask thank you
I guess you made up your mind because
I can see the light wait that's
the ambulance, thank you God
for saving me
now I will have a chance to see my family
one more time and I will keep my promise
and talk to you more often
thank you God because this is
one memory worth remembering
