Premiere Contest WinnerRemember Me

Remember Me
Remember me when I am gone,
No need to shed those tears.
For I am in a better place,
Where I have no more fears.
Remember me, my lovely child,
I will always remember you.
I loved you all so very much,
And hope you loved me too.
The time has come, for me to go,
But I won’t be far away.
I will be walking by your side,
Each and every day.
So come sit with me a while,
And try not to be so sad.
I love you all so very much,
I was proud to be your Dad.

Hi Donald. Congratulations on your win. The poem is chilling and honest. It speaks to me in its simple(?) message. I do not know, whether to ask or not, but I will send you loving wishes and hope that the poem does not reflect your personal situation. Season's greetings in any case and take care. Kai
