Remember Love

Remember Love

Sleep, please sleep now filling voids and
long spaces with quiet song
Fill the silences of our minds with your music
close your eyes mother and sleep
Later there will be things to remember
but that time is not yet here
Stories to talk of smiles and tears
but those days are not yet here
Now we must drop our heads and
cover away future and past and
listen close to the breath from drying lips
and touch the cooling brow
Let breath be a shadow vanishing
when the sun hides beneath evening sky
Or purple soft clouds silver edged gift
above a fragrant cotton pillow
We'll remember happy days and kind embraces
Sleep now, please sleep
