LOL! I still love granny squares and crocheted ponchos. I made ponchos for my two granddaughters and their mom, I found out, hated ponchos…sigh…

Well, I had just over two years in the 70s. I know of granny squares but they were blankets. I do remember ponchos coming around again in the 80s though and I had one and remember being very proud when the lady in the chippy said she liked it! I bought a few more as an adult but I'm not sure I quite pull off the look :) I've never managed to achieve a square in crochet - it's not my art form it seems. But I love a good solid galvanised mop bucket! Great imagery again!
