Remember Being Loved

Remember being loved or feeling as if you were?
Maybe it was never real, these days I'm just not sure.
I sit here and remember the feeling of your skin,
the touch of your fingertips, I wish I felt that way again.
The butterflies and staying up all night,
talking, texting, and laughing,
something that is so far away now,
We didn't even realize what was happening!
The feeling of everything being right,
finally a place you belong,
A sense of acceptance unlike any other,
passion lust and chemistry flow strong.
I miss the feeling of being the only one,
special, like it was just us against the world,
but, now it feels like I'm just a dreamer,
another stupid naive girl!
