Remember

Remember when you strolled with me
And dreaming came so easily
A future filled with what can be
And all the world was ours to see

Remember how we set cares free
With smiles and sighs in constant view
As we made one more memory
Delighting in our fantasy

Each wish a kiss passed happily
Remember how we used to do
As closer and familiar grew
And time would come to claim its fee

Was this the promise we were due
Was this what all our Joy led to
Remember lest a dream is through
And tears will be our destiny

Soft morning brings a spring anew
I take your hand to know it’s true
For what is time for lovers who
Remember that I still love you
