Remember

remember us.
remember why we burned.
remember why in our heart,
there will always be something to burn.

remember the lips that have known your kisses,
the eyes that have beheld your reflection,
and the arms that held you in the moonlight,
when no one`s around.

remember the evening wind.
remember the damned cold nights.
remember the shade of trees.

remember the ears that tingled
at the sound of your footfall,
remember the nose that reddened
in the smoke of your passion.

remember us.
remember why we burned.
remember why in our heart,
there will always be something to burn.
