Remember

Remember
by Bob Moore © 18 Sept. 2021

When you reach for me, and I’m not there
Remember

When life around you seems unfair
Remember.

When you see the husbands with their wives,
as the world moves on, they live their lives
Remember

That was us, in the days we had
and though the memories may make you sad
we lived together, through the good and bad
Remember

And when you go out in the street
you see the people we used to meet
and if these people you should greet
Remember

So whenever you feel me near
and I wipe away your tear
then you say, out loud and clear
    I will always. Remember
