Remember

Remember when I hummed your fave song
We were wrapped in December's icy chill--
Longing for your stare, all night long
The warmth of your smile, I could feel.

Remember being trapped in the darkness
It was like being captured by our own desires,
Savoring the taste of whirlwind kisses,
In rythmic unison, we lit up an old fire.

Remember how we cling unto each other
No promises, just setting aside our fears--
Soaked in lies, got consumed by the flame
When you softly whispered my name.

Remember what you asked me that time,
"Would you really let go of your hand in mine?"
Deafening silence, before i got the chance
To say I love you and goodbye, all at once.
