Remain Silent
A dark room with a pure scent;
Lonely bottle sitting by the fireplace.
Gently poured onto the ice;
The crackling fills the room.
This is the time to listen;
Let the taste consume you.
Sit back in that deep leather chair,
Forget why you’re there.
Distinct smell is upon you;
You need this moment.
What makes you cry,
Has been forgotten.
What makes you happy,
Is a memory.
You hold emptiness tightly;
And fill the glass once more.
This is the time to learn;
Silence is your companion.
The dirt in the road passes through your mind,
Dust devouring your soul.
The mountains seep into your glass,
Each sip brings you closer to the delusion;
That you are alone.
You have much to learn.
The darkness if warned,
Will harvest this moment.
Trust the silence,
It will bring you peace.
