Relinquish

Place me back into the dark cupboard

bed bottoms, noose knotted;
linen cloth hung upon a window pain

Strung around my neck;
clenching at my throat

And I can't even speak anymore;
I'm so close to the ground

I can't breathe anymore;
Silence is the worst sound
I can't feel;
My face or my feet anymore

Can I please reach the floor.

Don't keep me hung up here
This has happened before

You always

Let me

Down.

It was actually some time ago I haven't shared it and thought I should, but thanks so much for the comment, your poems are stellar!
