Religion vs Spirituality
Hymns and mantras chanted Sky above, earth below
Focus single pointed We just ask, ‘Who am I?’
Stance no longer slanted Feeling heart within glow
By symbols anointed Feral lust we decry
God search prioritised Ending movement of thought
With truth impulse aligned Head and heart to love yoked
In time He is realised We thus become self-taught
In form our mind divined Grace of Monad invoked
Surrender paves the way Space and time disappear
But our heart must expand The light of Self is known
Love and light our mainstay Wisdom erases fear
That truth we understand We come into our own
Path any, just know this
We are not body-mind
All’s one; God alone is
May this truth be divined
Know there is no one here
There’s no separate self
God within is so near
Let life flow by itself
Surrender paves the way
To reclaim inner light
When love is our mainstay
Unbound is heart’s delight
