Relieved and Deceived
Deceived and Relieved
I knew it would end in tears.
The trouble is: I never cry.
You’ve realised all my fears.
And I didn’t blink an eye.
I knew where I stood, so goodbye.
Run away from every painful fact,
Back to momma, I won’t die.
I found you out, no need to act.
Well, I wasn’t born yesterday.
Even though I think you were.
You haven’t enough courage to stray.
Go tell tales, unfounded to her.
The money’s gone, all’s dried up.
The idiot’s no fool; I knew your plan.
There’s no more overflowing cup.
Want my advice? Get away while you can.
