Reliance

Turning tired eyes
upward, only the
white ceiling stares back;
filled with a numbness
that started somewhere

between the heart
and the latest
unsteady breath,
I turn to you

to ensure
that I do
not forget

what it
is to

laugh

Awesome use of this form, Tracy!! Its been awhile since you've posted a write ... hope you come back soon with more wonders like this ... smile ... love the beginning and had not a clue it would end with such a wonderful word !!
