Releasing the Damaged Past

It seems like evil’s done
All the heartache bestowed
I should be calm here
Let everything take its course
And say a heartfelt good-bye

Russell, well said my friend. Sometimes letting things take their course and waving goodbye is for the best. Other times, we must fight, the key is knowing when. Great poem.

Your poem touches me in a personal way, Russell. With my illness I do remain calm and know that nature will take its course. Still, I keep praying that evil will be vanquished from our society. I know -- just dreaming. Very thought-provoking tanka, Russell! Love, Carolyn

Last line is the best solution when things can't be changed. I identify with this Russ, you said something important here.
