Released

Released

All healing is release from the past,
The past was a dream badly dreamed,
Struggled under a sky heavily overcast
Where sadness and loneliness loudly screamed.

Then, what showed first as a flickering light
Started to increase its fearless intensity,
Dissipating the clouds bewildering rite
And showing to the heart its hidden inmensity.

The force of love’s incandescent might
Bathed the road so far so hidden,
But, while walking straight, blinded by the light,
‘Saw my past disappear at the gates of Eden.
