Release
Hear me when I say it's okay,
to let yourself feel what is real
The tears always make you stronger
The release lasts even longer
Expression of anger redeems,
peace not depression as it gleams
Letting go of lingering shame,
all by knowing you're not to blame
Hear me, when I say it's okay,
to treat yourself well in today
The thunder will always return,
booming loud to help you discern
What it is that you need to face
All shaded by other's disgrace
A new day, always a new chance
for the best of you to advance
