Relax

Starting to tremble, starting to shake What a scary thought I just had What if suddenly I became befuddled Couldn't distinguish good from bad Each time I have to make a decision I'd waffle and sit on the fence Worried I'd choose door “B” and not “A” Start to sweat and get real tense Word for today is “RELAX” my friends Everything will fall into place Try to be patient, what will be will be Banish that frown from your face Things won't turn out as bad as you think Your ship will be sailing again The trick is to learn to go with the flow Till life gets back on the mend I know what you're thinking, it's easy to say But experience has proven it true The more you greet each day with a grin Less chance you'll be singing the blues! © Jack Ellison 2013

This poem reminds me we all need to stop and smell the roses, to slow down and take life as it is, not to worry about it but to live it! You have enlightened me with this wonderful write! I'm a very mellow person, if you hadn't noticed already, I don't get that up tight about the events in life, even if they are bad or incredibly serious! I really loved reading this piece this morning! What a delightful poem, Great work!!

: ) This will surely bring out warm smiles and give encouragement to the anxious and remind us to "look ahead", Jack! Always worth reading are your poems. I wish you would publish them, if you haven't already. x Annalise

the heart is willing but the flesh is weak....deciding not to panic is much easier than actually doing it....the future seems very frightening on some days and miraculously exciting on others!
