Relatively Dreaming
Last night I dreamed that I saw my grandfather.
He was at my doorstep and I didn't recognize his face.
I just wanted to feel his warm embrace.
I asked him: Who are you! and he told me his name.
My mouth dropped to the floor.
My emotions were at the door.
I was in shock and disbelief.
There was no time for grief!
We talked until the sky darkened.
Then he told me he had to go and I screamed no!
Please don't leave and please don't go.
He told me not to cry and to keep my head to the sky.
He walked down the road as, I waved goodbye with tears in my eyes.
Then all of a sudden I woke up and he was gone.
Then that's when I realized it was all a dream.
