Relationship Correlation

Life together is a sip of joy, familiar with each other's noise, secrets shared together from the soul, euphoric laughter spent like change; hands laced in rings of wedding, physical touch screams their name, smiling eyes caught on film, holidays spent holding you for a thrill; hugging hips and dancing slowly, heart beats in sync, inhaling your scent and relishing its power compliments lead flattery; hands intertwined deep in prayer, lives built on nothing but care.

Thanks for sharing this. God bless you. Meanwhile, I greet you with a Joyous New Year with this prayer from the Bible in Numbers 6:24-26, "The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace."

'...secrets shared together from the soul, euphoric laughter spent like change;" There are so many images like these throughout the poem that create a mosaic of color, light, and sensation, making it very powerful. This is very well-penned, Candice!

You've certainly hit all the high notes. My fave line? Familiar with each other's noise. There's something deeply personal about that, and a bit humorous. I also like the screaming part. Groooowl. Next you'll have to do one on the lows. Very nice
