Rekindled

Hope has no direction when the deed has spoken its flower's doom Set free from truths rejection to help our hearts reform But ever so quietly reminiscent of the roses constant bloom My heart still feels those times spent in the warmth reborn October 10, 2020 4-line stanza excerpt from Tone of the Rose, April 2020 Rithimus Divisa 9 Poetry Contest Sponsored by Gregory Barden

Congratulations on your win in Gregory's competition Lonna. I always approach reading the winners' list in these specific competitions in the same way; I read your 4 line stanza and then read your original - and then read your 4 line stanza again. Both your pieces stand alone. Both made me think and both are rich in imagery and feeling.
