Gently does the westerly wind touch my face.
A loving maternal caress that does trace
The space that does thread round with each walking pace.
Reviving the flower within that I am
With grace, in an unblemished vase, called grandam.

Hello sweetie, thank you so much for your visit. I’ve not been on soup for a while. Just not been enthused in writing but thank you for your encouraging words. My grandson is doing well, he’s still struggling with his autism, but he’s gorgeous.

Grandam? Is that what grandchildren call you, do you have grandchildren? I accepted long ago that I would never be a grandmother, but in late March I'm to be a step-granny, if you will, but I'm sure my step-daughter's real Mom won't give me much room. Your pen flowed with pure talent for this poem! I, too, have been trying to revive the flower that I am in memories prior to 9-24. I'm talking body, your talking internal. I lost a lot of muscle.
