Rejoice
Sun shines bright now
A new dawn streaks
All good somehow
For strong and weak
Dawn unfurls light
Hear freshness mint
Such awesome sights
In radiant tints
A brand new year
Calls out to me:
Now write my dear
Rhymes and stories
My darling sleeps
A smiling face
Tells of thoughts deep
In lovely grace
I awake here
With drowsy moods
The atmosphere
Is kind and good
I pray for peace
For grace and light
To fund increase
In lovely flight
May mind and heart
Connect with soul
As joy now starts
To make me whole
I think of friends
With loving thoughts
Wish something grand
To anchor lots
So on this day
First in this year:
I wish and pray
For you my dears
May all things good
Bless you with joy
May touching moods
Spring fond employ
May peace abide
To show you now
Right by your side
With love's endow
May happy thoughts
Inspire fond cheer
As goodwill plots
To bless you here
May all your days
Be full of grace
As rainbow rays
Style smiles in place
May fortune come
To inspire bliss
With pleasant sums
In that and this.
Here's to a year
Filled with blessings
May affluence steer
Your grand living
Let hearts rejoice
With true giving
As love finds poise
In choice singing
Here by this brook
I turn to see
That promised look:
Truth greets beauty
The is a path
A way to walk
Cheer seeds enough
To word our talk
