This day, this moment Is the empty page that awaits Your sensitive pen The thoughts that make you A light to this world Someone who is filled with Kindness, hope, encouragement This day, this moment Gives you the chance to voice All those feelings, dreams That have been with you always Providing whispers of joy To your heart and soul Your spirit’s journey This day, this moment Breaths anticipation into you Paving the path you walk With brilliant promises, dreams That enliven your thoughts With inspiration and goals Which guide you toward more This day, this moment Your prayers are pleaded With belief that kindness Hope, faith and love Will combine to bring to your Empty page – a peace That rises from the flame of feeling This day, this moment I pray that you will take the time To write your story with Love that enlightens Hope that encourages Faith that entices Your heart to rejoice

I do NOT write good free verse, but I know it when I see it! This is good--no, great--a wonderful, uplifting, smooth blend of literal and figurative language, Janice
