Rejection
He looked at me as if I was mad
There is no life, nothing after I am dead
There is no heaven or a hell to dread
Life came from scum, by evolution bred
I dont need your saviour who for sins bled
Anyway I am not a sinner, I am not that bad
I don't rape or rob banks or innocent blood shed
I can't follow Jesus as there's much fun to be had
With these words my presence he fled
I was left feeling downcast and very sad
Oh Lord open my friend's eyes I inwardly said.
You, My friend what will your response be
Will you also close your eyes and refuse to see
Will you also ignore the Saviour's plea
Or will you listen to Him who died on the tree
While we were yet sinners for our sins died He
And He beckons the weary come to me
And off all your sins be completely free
I am the gracious creator, I don't need a fee
Come to live with joy, in heaven, live eternally
