Rejection
That stab of pain
it makes me so cold
I got all worked up
for you just to say no
I feel so tired
and I just want to sleep
but I'm not hurt that bad
I won't cry or weep
I wish you'd say yes
and get to know me
like I want to know you
but I'll just let it be
I guess I can take it
it's been worse you know
but that don't mean it's easy
to just let you go
I'd turn back time
if I knew how you felt
but I know that I can't
I'll play the cards I've been dealt
I'll find someone else
eventually
someone I'll love
who will also love me.
