Reincarnation

Cherish much
    The unseen
        Once touched
           Once known

All we've grown
     Faded at birth
        The body sown
           To keep spirit dry

Clouds floating by
     Due to return
        Are you and I
           Pieces of forever

We die never
     Bodies die each day
        We grow only better
           We learn our part

Live in your heart
     Not your body
        One is joy's start
           The other only sorry.

Dearest CayCay, just thinking about it, because you stopped by to read my first poem; so I decided to look at yours as well. A soft, spiritual poem you have here. I completely agree that ' We die never. ' Our soul leaves the body. We do live on. I'm curling your thoughts gently around me. Many wonderful blessings to you, my sweet friend. Hugs, Brandy

Thank you for reading what on Soup is an 'old one'. Everyone's poems get so little comments after they leave the top line that it is a thrill and blessing to me that you decided to click here. I wrote this after reading my first book on reincarnation, something I was drawn to learning all about after I lost my Dad. Appreciate your comments ... CayCay

A profound and compelling poem CayCay. I had to come to where it started with your poetry on PS and I found this fantastic, thoughtful and thought provoking write. Beautiful and spiritual throughout but your third stanza is superb 'Clouds floating by Due to return Are you and I Pieces of forever'.. Blissful contemplative and glorious lines... Excellent and enjoyed the soulful theme.

CayCay, the feeling of encouragement goes both ways, I have felt this from you as well. We are somewhat like-minded spiritually and I will read the post you suggested. I'm very pleased you wear a smile this evening! Hugs to you my friend!

Susan, as a poet, you have made and stayed my smile this evening. I embrace your enthusiastic response which so warms my muse and pen. Thank you and thank you. Also, exciting is knowing we are somewhat like-minded spiritually - the subject of reincarnation turns many off, their journey has not yet 'arrived there.' I invite you to read a recent post on that topic, "Death Invites No Fear" written for contest, but true in content. You have no idea how you have encouraged this woman! Hugs ... CayCay

I decided to look up your first poem, and came across this beautiful poem. AND read what Rick (Budgie, White Wolf) wrote below. Does coincidence even exist CayCay? Because exactly this is what he and I were talking about only yesterday. I have been in a coma for months, induced coma, and experienced so many inexplicable things....

According to what I study, it does and it ties into astrology. It wasn't really Wise Men that visited Jesus, they were astrologers and I think there is a reason for that. According to what I've studied, as Libra's we are in at least our 7th life. If you want more detail, I'll give it in email. Let me know. I wrote this when my Father died and I began studying reincarnation. Love ya ... CayCay

Since a short while I am immersing myself in Taoism, and, under the guidance of White Wolf, in Druidry, shamanism. It adds so much to my life, and changes my view on everything. Take care my friend, I hope to see you soon. Hugs, Darren

I wanted to check out your first offering to the soup and found this gem! OK! I'm going to tell you something now! I died once in ICU. I what I saw was totally amazing! It was full of colour and light like a river made of energy swimming in it! I don't know about a God, but there was a lady there with a shining vessel! Put it this way, the vision was well worth dying for! Hence I do not fear death! And you are on the right track with this poem!

I am so glad you shared your 'truth.' The more I study reincarnation, the more I believe in it. You would be awed (or maybe not) by some of the true stories people have shared with me. One elderly friend who had died as you did, also saw water, a creek and Jesus on the other side who told her to go back, it wasn't her time yet. Again, thank you SO MUCH for sharing ... CayCay
