Rehearsing Hope
Rehearsing Hope
When life’s battles seem prevailing.
We take hold of a prevailing hope.
That never fails, though our world may shatter.
We won't be overcome.
By all these highs and lows.
Filled with questions in our depression.
With cries underlining lies, with those whys?
Maybe unwise because of these woes;
That is now taking its toll, so many foes.
Sent to teach us how to endure.
To learn while we grow, slow closer to what we know.
In every season, there's a reason.
The good, we do may go untold.
But still we stand and be bold;
Faced with negativity, mambo jumbo.
Wilderness post triggers trauma.
Those abnormal occasions, with relapse, duration.
Whose battle hymns announce.
Trying to quell, we hear their roars.
If you plan to walk the streets of gold? Until you reach those pearly gates?
Victorious battle!
Keep rehashing hope.
