Rehearsal
This time she didn't think about it,
Her thoughts were clear and they weren't as clouded,
They key I made we discussed before,
Was hidden down by the basement door...
Sipping wine with some candles lit,
While your killing time with the one your with,
Though we could be I just bide my time,
Till the stars align and they make you mine...
All the times you were driving by,
I could hear the tears as your cellphone died,
Could they re-appear in the thoughts you hide,
Just to disappear once you came inside...
You're the reason that I pretend,
That this cohesion is just as friends,
But you and I know its just between,
Something much more than what is seen...
As Im filling another flask,
It's your reflection that fills my glass,
Slowly coming across my lawn,
In knee highs and just a trench coat on...
