Reguarding Faithful Prayer
If faith can move mountains, let prayer
reconstruct the landscape of out lives.
All the obstacles of people's misery
and a more fulfilling life can be
rock scale climbed and surmounted.
The surface of the mountain's rocks
could be jagged and harsh, pretty and smooth
such as prayer for the mental well-being
of those who commit violent crimes
or for a better way to live on one's income.
On the climb, there may be flowers
or weeds, shrubs or trees at which to look,
grasp, avoid or surpass.
You may encounter hostile or benign
insects, birds or reptiles, but a cautious
and confident attitude can overcome
their venoms or add to the animation
of the climb.
A success with faithful prayer will adorn
and make shine all the scratches and scars
you endured up the mountain
and leave you seeing the distance from all matters
like on level ground.
