Regrets

Had a great lover
let it slip away
      Memories block my
progress, but there is
     Still sunlight in the morning
     Still moonbeams at night
If there is something
     in the offing
perhaps the Muse will
     let me know
     and I'll be blessed
even without her gentle touch
     and warm arms
 I'll stand by the shore
let the sun and moon do their work
send light into my heart
to heal
          even the deepest wounds       i
allow creativity to make some sense
of exsistence
