Regrets

Regrets i have many
Regrets one stands out
I regret technology came
Before i learnt to write a love letter
I regret it came and killed romance

And now it sms and mms
Social networking and adjustments
Short forms of words i don't want know
With such a thrift of words romance is gone
As the xaxa generation tweets and updates

I regret technology came because i never learnt
To write and compose the perfect love letter
I regret technology came for we are all so hooked
And we seem unable to live without being wired

Everyone is online exchanging the virtual version
Of love and relationships and now romance is virtual
Technology came making us an extension of its tendrils
And without it we are so lost unable to move forward

I regret technology came and there lives no more appeal
In composing a love letter and putting your heart on paper
Its now likes and follows and romance is dead as we compete
For virtual relevance trying to bond via machines and networks
For when technology came the quality of relationships suffered

So true Lewis, I know my x-fiance regrets the day he introduced me to the internet and Poetry Soup. :) Technology is good only when used by needed means. enjoyed. LINDA
