Regrets

Wandering along a lifeless road
cloaked by pashima of acid night,
a metal sky cuts treetops in half
biting her skin beneath pale stars---

tears rush like nickel-blue of isolation
as feet dig cemented steps
to carry heart's burden
past windows of fading regrets.

Nice poem; It is not good to carry regrets. We only harm ourselves. It is better to let go. Thanks for sharing and welcome to Poetry Soup... Lucilla
