Regrets
I decided along time ago
that i would never have regrets
regrets keep you in the past
when everyone else moves forward
When I met the love of my life
then broke heart in two
I didn't regret it
I moved on
Of course the next girl
threw my heart of glass at the wall
it shattered in a million pieces
but, alas no regrets
no, i taped humpty dumpty together
limped on not regretting i met her
not regretting her face
not regretting her smile
The only promise I've ever kept
was the one I made to myself
No regrets, no living in the past
I will move on, I will survive
Oh but how soon one discovers
How quickly regrets are important
to error is human, to regret to have a soul
it keeps the heart pure
It's almost the definition of irony
I almost regret no more regretting.
