Regret

tainted pictures
washed up glory
it took the best of me
still dignity
overlooking-
the innocence in your eyes
sicken my burdened soul
contaminating the frost on my heart
because he can only defrost it.
It's only him I see and feel
yet your twisted love-
it fails magnetic-like
so desperate in attempt
to gain back feelings-
ones I never had
ones I only witnessed with him.
Yet you take advantage of my pride-
scribbling doubt and possibility
all over my fallen heart.
You don't care if it's over
what's become
you'll never care
because your actions are as engulfed by the flames
like the envious demons in your eyes
