Regret

Why do you incessantly try to hurt me? I try to keep it on the inside but it hurts my passion, hurts my pride. Just a child The times I wanted to play You just turned your head and walked away coming home to an empty bed And it seems to be the only way to make you say The things you want to Is to say 'I hate you!' Just a teenager You were off in jail Broken down Lies of a fairy tale in a tattered princess gown I don't see you again Back in those innocent days where you lied like you did back then Eyes covered in a haze Just a teenager Yes, I'm still a kid You took all the things that were sacred burnt them to the ground and laughed while I made not one sound
