Refugee
Help, I’m alone, I know no-one here,
I want to get off this sickening ride,
I need to return back to the place that I know,
I need to escape to outside,
Where I know I belong, I’m actively valued,
Where I know how to play by the rule,
Set up by my peers, in the mind that I am,
Where I know how to play it real cool.
You see, I’m a lone refugee seeking asylum,
I need a sanctuary away from this pain,
I’m a mental migrant alone in my head,
With dementia as my friend in my brain.
