Reflective Agony
Shining metal
Open on the lake
Blistering heat
Reflective sheen
Swim with caution
Burning with light
Pain intensifies
Over water’s edge
Combine the hurt
From terror
And flight
Find the reflection
Not found at night
Where continuous agony
Finds the fight
The irritation
Covers every pore
Seeing the sensation
A sting in the eyes
Creates a tortuous
Blinding sight
