Reflections of the Soul
They say the eyes of a person tell you their tall tale
Strong hopes that make any mountain able to scale
Happiness they seek, the anguish that leave them frail
Dreams that keep them trying, fighting tooth and nail
Reflections that glitter to reveal the purity they show
Dark as a charred soul, or white as fresh fallen snow
Sparkling as the night sky with stars of a bright glow
All as clear as a glistening river during its spring flow
Everyone has a story to tell, with a soul so tightly knit
We find our way, or we fall into our own deep dark pit
Choosing our own way, whether we should try or quit
But not everyone can see, if you believe, it will all fit
Look deep within someone, tell them what you see
Some are lost inside; with answers that they let flee
Left confused about life, to cry out a desperate plea
Maybe what you tell them can finally set them free
With wings that carry them to the endless blue so high
Freedom to seek vividly, left with only a breath to sigh
Questions never to be answered, only pondered why
Amazing it is to see what you will find in a human eye
