Reflections

Reflections are mirrors for all eyes to see.
Reflections in mirrors are not you, nor me.
For how I see you is not how you see me.
The same way two fires see the branch of a tree.

Reflections are mirrors for our eyes to see.
Reflections of birds soaring over the sea.
For how you see beauty mightn't lie in the trees.
The same way an infant sees an approaching bee.

Reflections may point out the good or the bad.
They could drive you insane, make you angry or mad.
Reflections are still, unlike the past we've all had.
Stay the same, they always will, even if you adjust it a tad.

The only thing I've decided that's for your ears only,
Is that reflections are always there, so never expect to be lonely.
