Reflections

There is no reflection in the water
too well hidden by the ripples in the stream
and clearly, flowing rivers are muddied
in the meandering of the incessant dream.

Looking across the vast oceans
ships are wrecked in the ragings of the storm
and every sailor's search is lost forever
in the cloud and wind swarm born.

Breathe in the salty air
 scan the water's edge
ride the crested waves foaming
 reflections steer life's journey stretched.
