Reflections
Remember those days of frivolity
As children we were at play
The sun was bright, the sky was blue
We welcomed each new day
Remember how we laughed a lot
Even when the jokes did bore
From the gut, we let them up
As laughter turned to a roar
Remember when we were a group
We always stayed together
Through summer rain or winter snow
It mattered not, the weather
Remember when we felt so safe
Mom and dad, they were about
They paid the bills, prepared the food
Loved us, though we did shout
I remember and I miss those days
