Reflection

As I kneel by rivers side
it reveals what I can't hide
a mirror of our truth and lies
this windows that looks past our eyes...
Some look for that second chance
we may have missed at our first glance
between each ripple as they prance
across the waters solemn trance...
Right or wrong we hope that each
lesson learned will also teach
that every wave is not a breech
of answers not within our reach...
One must look beyond the tide
sometimes to the other side
because its not about your pride
or the rules that we abide...
the next time you see your reflection
its more than just a chance inspection
look deep at what you call perfection
even ripples change direction...
