I think of the relationship between ambition and knowledge when ruminating on this poem Craig. For this write has a Taoist quality.

Well seen Justin..that is which it stems from. Tossed up between the word beauty and life for some time..as beauty is normally subjective..but is not held to be in this poem. Had not thought of reflecting upon the relationship between knowledge and ambition..but the intent was for the reader to peer into that still pond..and reflect on what you saw..to face it as you have done. Thank you
