Reflection

There has to be a solution to what
I'm seeing.
All I did was walk in the loo
to try some simple peeing.

I look in the mirror and gloss my lips
so neat
and lo and behold my reflection has
tiny crow's feet.

"YIKES" I scream to myself
and my alter ego.
"When did that happen?"
and where is my hero?

No time now to fix
what's there
but I promise myself
not to be scared.

Tomorrow is another day.
No wasting time on foolish drama.
Easy ways to fix that reflection
Use more night cream and pajamas.

Because loyalty to each other
is to take each as we are.
Shallow worries don't fit in
Only warriors scars.
