Reflection
The past I lived molded my confidence into what it needed to be today.
I still learn what it takes to live through certain situations that sting
Seen a lot in life to this point and what it has to offer its patrons
Not everything is given, for the moment it is there until we decide
The more it seems, the more it lessens our hope and tests our fortitude
Mental toughness is not what it used to be and will power now is rare
I thought we made impressions to those who want the challenge
So we thought they were up for it, bring us down to one knee
Determination is in the eyes of the blazer, a brisk pace follows
I will claim my spot in the world as I reach for the top of the peak
My confidence unearthed would be a lie, yet intact I look up and smile
