Reflection

Somehow I remember
Voices in the night
Filling dreams
As messengers
Speaking of strangest trials.

My morning prayers
Spoken from memory
Touched loving promises
Made in moments of deception
By one who said he love me.

Thoughts passed as a flight of clouds
In a moment where shadows of apathy
And foolish dreams
Were found within
The complexity of creeping fear and loneliness.
