Reflection

I looked straight into its eyes
It stared back at me
I saw the pain in them
Tears brimming, ready to break it's banks
Signs of a break down

The silence inside the room
A perfect scene for loneliness
I could feel the emptiness
Yet there were two of us
Only one made a sound

It suddenly broke into tears
That was my worst fear
I tried to wipe them but all in vain
My hands slid over its body
Did the tears make it slippery?

Memories racing through my mind
And then it was just me
All alone in that room
My companion had gone
Gone after I moved from the mirror
