Reflecting On a Life of Sadness

I'm taking a new direction
In my life with a reflection
That I see inside your eyes
Of myself--it's no surprise
Thinking back on all the years
Of the sad and lonely tears
That have fallen every day
And will never go away
If I don not make a change
'I'm starting to re-arrange
The way my hearts to be treated
Every love has left it weeded
With roots of heartache and pain
Growing deeper and will drain
All hope of a love so real
To find me so I can feel
Alive and carefree once again
As emotions soon begin
To fill me up like and ocean
Drowning me in pure emotion
But this will not happen till
I have the courage and will
To make the reflection I see
In your eyes of misery
Be strong and finally get out
Of this long and painful drought

Hello Robin, This was very touching and very well written. I wish I could give it a higher rating than what is allowed. Peace, Deborah
