'reflect'

You've walked this road so many times
Half the time you don't even notice
The little changes
You don't notice the differences

Even if it feels like nothing changed
It is guaranteed that nothing remains the same
Your smile might be hidden today

Who knows tomorrow it might return

Don't cling to morbid thoughts
Don't drown in muddled water
Of past mistakes
Past regrets

You are not always wrong,
Look around at all the things

You did right...

Reflect

Embrace what might still happen
We don't have vision or surety of tomorrow
All you have is today

Simple truth! And how beautiful it is;.These are wise words to "reflect" upon, Wilma! Hope you are doing well during these sad days in S. Africa. God bless and much love to you. Annalise

Reflecting on things like what you are embracing within your poem is well worth the time and energy! Things in the past do reflect that there are good times as well as the bad...and that we shouldn't dwell on the bad and should live for the good! What a tremendous poem here my friend, such a grand piece, Great Work!!
